These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Terneos (the "Platform") and this website. By creating an account, using it as a guest, or otherwise using Terneos, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please don't use the Platform.
1. Who can use Terneos
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account or use Terneos. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you confirm that a parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.
2. Your account
- You can use Terneos as a guest without creating an account, or register with an email address, password, and username.
- You're responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity under your account.
- Usernames may be changed once; choose one you're comfortable displaying publicly, and please keep it respectful - see section 4.
- You can request deletion of your account at any time from Profile → Account Settings. See our Privacy Policy for how that works.
3. The platform & virtual items
- Terneos currently has no real-money purchases. In-platform resources and currency (water, crops, energy, coins) have no monetary value, cannot be exchanged for real money, and exist only within Terneos.
- We may add, change, rebalance, or remove features, buildings, resources, or economy mechanics at any time, including in ways that affect your existing progress, as the platform continues development.
- We do not guarantee the platform, your account, or your progress will be available permanently. We'll make reasonable efforts to give notice before major changes or shutdowns where practical.
4. Acceptable use
When using Terneos, you agree not to:
- Use cheats, bots, exploits, or unauthorized third-party software to gain an unfair advantage or manipulate the economy;
- Attempt to access another player's account, or our servers/backend, without authorization;
- Use an offensive, harassing, impersonating, or otherwise inappropriate username, or submit abusive content through the Feedback system or trading/friends features;
- Interfere with or disrupt the platform's servers, infrastructure, or other players' experience;
- Use Terneos for any unlawful purpose.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, at our discretion.
5. Public & social features
Terneos includes features that are visible to or shared with other players by design: your username, country/region, plot and leaderboard stats, trade listings, and friends list. Don't include personal information you don't want visible to other players in any of these fields.
6. Feedback
If you submit feedback, bug reports, or suggestions through the in-platform Feedback form, you grant us the right to use that feedback to improve Terneos without any obligation to compensate you or credit you, and without it being treated as confidential.
7. Intellectual property
Terneos, including its name, logo, artwork, code, and design, is owned by its developer and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms don't grant you any ownership rights in the platform - only a personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use it for your own purposes, subject to these Terms.
8. Third-party services
Terneos relies on third-party infrastructure (currently Supabase) to run account authentication and store platform data. Your use of Terneos is also subject to the terms of the platform you downloaded it from (e.g. Google Play).
9. Disclaimer of warranties
Terneos is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We don't guarantee Terneos will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developer of Terneos will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, progress, or virtual items, arising from your use of (or inability to use) Terneos.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as Terneos evolves. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do, and for material changes we'll make reasonable efforts to notify players in-platform. Continuing to use Terneos after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
12. Termination
You may stop using Terneos and request account deletion at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if we reasonably believe you've violated these Terms.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Austria, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles, unless local consumer-protection law in your country of residence requires otherwise.
